Week 10

Yeah, yeah, I know. I skipped week 9. Oops, sorry, but this was the fun week anyway. We went for the first appointment on Monday! I had one of the midwives in the practice. She seemed great, very eager to answer any questions, very informative. They did my blood work that day, but scheduled me for my ultrasound tomorrow. THAT is what I'm most excited for! I'm 10 weeks today. According to my app, Crash is the size of a Kumquat, and about 1 1/4 inches long. (S)he's growing quickly! I can't wait to start showing... :o) All of my first trimester symptoms seem to have dissipated already, thankfully! Haven't felt nauseous in about 2 weeks, I'm sleeping better, although last night, I woke up to use the bathroom, realized I was hungry, grabbed a snack and couldn't fall back asleep. Anyway, happy Thursday!

Week 8.....soooooo late!!!!

Good morning!!!! Well, I hit 8 weeks this past Thursday, I'm (un)officially two months!! My doctor appointment is coming up this Monday. I'm SO excited to finally get official informtion! Greg and I had our first date night with Crash this past Friday. It was a fun time, but I was totally ready for bed my 9 or 930, haha...oh, and my mom and I went shopping Friday afternoon and I made my first mommy purchase! We went to Dinos and Darlings, on Loockerman St. in Dover (such a cute store, by the way) and I bought a HoldMeClose nursing scarf. I've been eyeing these up since long before I was pregnant. I'm so glad I finally have a reason to buy one :o)
It seems as though my nausea just stopped overnight last week, which I'm thankful for, but my dreams seem to be more vivid. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, some of them are kind of funny!
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful remainder of the week!

Week 7 (a little late)

This has been such a busy week! I was 7 weeks on Thursday, but we had the kids this weekend and did a lot of work on the house, so I didn't get a chance to post until now. This week has been pretty exciting for changes. I made a new appointment with a different OB-GYN office that I've heard nothing but good stories about. They wanted me to come in for a blood test to confirm pregnancy, so I did that on Thursday (it's official that I'm pregnant...YAY...haha). My first appointment is set up for the 26th, so two more weeks. Greg made a lot of progress on the house, so i'm hoping it will be finished before the baby gets here. I've been perusing Pinterest for ideas, since we won't have an official nursery (not enough bedrooms) and found a few great ideas that I'm really excited about and some super cute clothes. I'm hoping to get a few things purchased this week, so we can have a head start and not drop a ton of money at the last minute. Oh! and I had a dream last week about us having a boy! I've heard a lot of stories from women about their dreams being accurate, so we'll just have to wait and see, I suppose :)

Please excuse our walls, we are in the middle of renovating our home!

6 Weeks!

I know its recommended that we don't tell people until the end of the first trimester, but we are both SO excited, we couldn't keep it a secret any longer. Plus everyone was guessing it right off the bat, anyway! Apparently no one is surprised and thinks its par for the course for the way our relationship has been :) Anyway, we didn't go out for New Years Eve, we babysat our nieces, but we still had a great celebration, drinking sparkling cider, and then binging on a Friends Netflix marathon. Also, Happy Birthday to "Crash's" Poppy. He was a New Years baby, so we went to my parents for dinner yesterday, too. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays as much as I did!
